Garlic Bread Swirls

Do you love garlic bread? Of course you do, silly question! Well oh my GOODNESS, you’re gonna love these little beauties.

Ingredients:

  • 40g butter, melted – can substitute for cream cheese*
  • 250g plain greek yoghurt or plant based alternatives*
  • 500g plain flour
  • 2 heaped tsp of baking powder
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 handfuls of baby leaf spinach
  • 4 large slices of ham (optional)
  • 60g cheddar cheese or PB alternatives*
  • Grating of Black pepper

Method:

Preheat the oven to 220d/ 425f.

Melt the butter in the microwave then mix in the pepper and garlic – set aside.

Mix the yoghurt, baking powder and flour together a little, then keep mixing while you slowly trickle in a little cold water. Knead till it forms into a ball, if it’s too stick add more flour. Dust your surface with flour and roll the dough into a large rectangle around 1cm thick.

Spread over the melted butter, then sprinkle over the cheese. Lay the slices of ham evenly in the middle and cover with a thin, even layer of the spinach.

Roll up from a long edge and cut into 10 discs around 2cm wide.

Place onto a non stick baking tray and bake for 15-20minutes till golden and risen.
