Purple Porridge

Porridge with the prettiest of makeovers!


  • 1 small mug of regular porridge oats *
  • 2 mug fulls (same mug as above) of milk – cows or plant based
  • Handful of frozen or fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • If you have a sweet tooth – add a dash of maple syrup or honey (no honey for under ones)


Add all the ingredients to a saucepan. Cook on a medium heat stirring continuously for around 3-4 minutes depending on how thick you like your porridge.

Serve and enjoy – tip serve your little one’s portion on a plate rather than a bowl which helps it cool much quicker.

Suitable from 6 months – the blueberries will be soft and mushy so not a choking hazard. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
