Savoury Oaty Fingers

Delicious spinach and cheese porridge fingers, a great savoury take on the traditional sweet breakfast porridge. Full of goodness, soft and really easy for baby to hold and eat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 blocks of frozen spinach
  • 40g of cheddar cheese (vegan cheese alternative)
  • 100g regular rolled porridge oats*
  • 100ml milk (cows or plant based)

*Substitute for Gluten free oats if preferred

Method:

You will need a small microwaveable Tupperware box (around the size of a packet of sugar) but a little bigger or small is totally fine. Add the frozen spinach to the container and microwave on high for 2 minutes.

Now mix in the rest of the ingredients, give it a good stir and press down with the back of a spoon so the mixture is well compacted and even on top. Put back in the microwave for 4-5 minutes until it feels firm to touch, but still lovely and soft inside.

Let it cool for 2 minutes before flipping out onto a chopping board and cutting into finger strips. Delicious served with some greek yoghurt for dunking.

Suitable from 6 months. Store in the fridge for 2 days for freezable for up to 3 months.
