Cheesy Toasty Eggy Bread

If eggy bread and cheese toastie had a baby, here it is!

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread, or GF alternative
  • 30g of cheddar cheese or a good melting DF alternative
  • 2 tsp cream cheese, or DF alternatives
  • 1 large egg
  • A small knob of unsalted butter, or DF alternative

Method:

Spread the cream cheese on one piece of bread then top with the cheese. Apply the second piece of bread and squish down so it’s all well sealed.

Cut into 4 finger strips then in half lengthways so you have 8 little finger sandwiches. Whisk the egg in a bowl then dip each sarnie, coating well. Melt the butter in a large non stick frying pan and cook them for a minute or so on each side, making sure to turn onto all sides to brown and cook the egg.

Suitable from 6 months. Freeze for up to 3 months, defrost and reheat in the frying pan.
