Eggy Bread Roll Ups

How pretty do these sweet little egg bread roll ups look, delicious and naturally super soft too, so perfect from 6 months!


  • 4 slices of bread or GF
  • Approx 10 raspberries or 5 strawberries (whatever berries you have!)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons of chia seeds
  • 1 egg*

*Or use mashed banana with a little milk instead


Crush the fruit using the back of a fork in a small bowl. Add the chia seeds and vanilla, stir and set aside. Cut the crusts off each slice of bread. Then using a rolling pin, roll out each slice till they’re as flat as you can get.

Whisk the egg into a medium sized flat bowl. Spread each piece of bread with a teaspoon about of your fruit jam going edge to edge.

Roll up and dunk in the egg making sure it’s all covered, including each end. Add to a medium hot frying pan with a little oil. (seam side down first) and fry on each side for a minute. don’t forget to stand up on each end too.

Suitable from 6 months – cut in half and allow baby to hold as finger food. Cooked leftovers can be frozen for 3 months.
